SIOPSA Western Cape invites you to an opportunity to LEARN and NETWORK with fellow professionals at our upcoming Medico-Legal event …

Medico-legal Workshop

Background of topic:

The core purpose of an Industrial Psychologist’s report within the Medico-Legal sphere is to facilitate the calculation of a rand value for the earnings lost by an injured victim. This is therefore achieved by means of postulating both uninjured and injured career scenarios and attaching relevant salary information in both scenarios. Most importantly, as a practitioner within the Medico-Legal space, one straddles between both the legal and medical space, whilst remaining objective with your expert opinion.

Facilitator: Angelique Rademeyer

Angelique Rademeyer is an Industrial Psychologist, operating in private practice. Before becoming an independent practitioner in Industrial Psychology, she spent a number of years working within the retail, aviation and mining industry. Since then, she has obtained experience within the various areas of Industrial Psychology, such as psychometric testing, training, coaching, career counselling and most recently medico-legal work. She is also accredited in a wide range of psychometric tests and has also participated and presented at various conferences both nationally and internationally.
Originally from Johannesburg, she now resides in Cape Town, where she is primarily involved in the medico-legal space, having obtained experience in providing expert opinion in Road Accident Fund related-matters for both plaintiff and defendant cases.
