About the Treasurer
SIOPSA is registered as a non-profit organisation in terms of the Non-Profit Organisations Act of 1997, and as such, is subject to strict financial management requirements. The SIOPSA Treasurer is dedicated to the financial wellbeing of the Society through financial management, governance and planning. The treasurer upholds the integrity and transparency of SIOPSA’s financial practices, contributing to its overall sustainability.
Role Summary
The Treasurer is responsible for SIOPSA’s sound financial governance while providing financial recording and reporting to the Executive Committee. This role further supports the Executive Committee by providing financial insights and contributing to decisions that align with SIOPSA’s mission and vision. The Treasurer will work closely with the Executive Committee, Financial administrator, accountants and auditors to ensure the principles of good governance and sound financial management are in place.

About the Regional Portfolio
The Regional portfolio aims to broaden SIOPSA’s footprint within the province by strengthening the reputation, visibility and relevance of Industrial and Organisational Psychology Profession. The Region acts as a bridge between academia, industry stakeholders and professional practice, creating inclusive and collaborative platforms where students, interns, and professionals can learn, network and engage meaningfully. Through these platforms, members gain access to opportunities that support career advancement, continuous professional development, and knowledge exchange that amplify the impact of the IOP profession within the Regional context, thereby promoting professional growth and shaping a sustainable future for SIOPSA and the IOP field.
Role Summary
The Chair of the Regional Branch provides leadership and strategic direction to the Region’s committee members. The role is responsible for aligning Regional initiatives with SIOPSA’s overall mission, vision and strategic priorities, while tailoring programmes to address the Region’s priorities and member needs. The Chairperson fosters member engagement, builds partnerships with academia and industry stakeholders, enhances SIOPSA’s visibility, and drives the growth and retention of membership within the Region.
